Terms of Use

Last updated: June 12, 2026

By using Free Contract Generator (the “Site”) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

Self-help templates, provided as-is

The Site generates self-help legal documents from the answers you provide. They are offered free and “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Laws differ by state and change over time, and every situation is different — so you are responsible for reviewing each document and adapting it to your jurisdiction and circumstances before you sign or rely on it. We do not guarantee that any document is valid, enforceable or suitable for your needs.

What the clause notes are

The plain-English “what this means” notes are general explanations to help you understand a clause. They describe common practice; they are not advice about your specific situation and not a substitute for a licensed attorney.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links — for example to e-signature services — may be affiliate links, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes our recommendations, and such links are marked as sponsored.

Intellectual property & liability

The Site's text and design are ours; documents you generate from your own inputs are yours to use. Third-party names and trademarks are used for identification only. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the Site, the documents it generates, or any third-party service you reach through our links.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Questions? support@freecontractmaker.app.
